Biography

John N. Brown was born at South Orange, New Jersey, in November of 1839, a son of John Smith Brown and Mary Adelaide (Freeman) Brown; he married Mary Emma Snedecor by 1868. He died at Holyoke, Massachusetts, in early June of 1919.

Research Notes

Middle name shown in Ancestry profile as "Newton"; no family connection with this name has however as yet been found, and the Ancestry record possibly confuses him with the notable English minister John Newton Brown.
