Margaret Brown was born about 1621 [uncertain] in London, England [uncertain]; married Christopher Thomas Durbin in 1649 in London, England; and died before 13 Sep 1651 in Westminster, London, England. She was the mother of Frances Durbin and Thomas William Durbin.[3]
"Christopher Durbin is perhaps the first known ancestor of our Durbin family. Evidence indicates the name originated in Somerset, England. No trace of his origin is evident in the London parish registers we have consulted. We have also searched LDS microfiche (as of 1980) for each county in England for Durbins, and have found no further clues.
"We find this Christopher Durbin in 1649 at St. Margaret's, Westminster, London, where his first child was christened. After the birth of his son Thomas, his wife Margaret died, and she was buried 13 September 1651. Christopher married (2) Elizabeth, who is identified in the christening of his son Henry. The mother of son Christopher is not identified, but is undoubtedly also this Elizabeth."
