William was born in 1859. He is the son of Abraham Brownfield and Francis Vinson.
Married Mahala (?) Emeline Smith 13 Sep 1883 Jackson county, Alabama.
It is not known whether or not William and Emeline had any children. They married in 1883 and the next U.S. Census, for 1890, was destroyed; no record of them had been found in the 1900 Census. By 1910, any children born to hem in the later 1880s would have been in their 20s, likely married and not living with their parents. In 1910 only two nephews are recorded as living with them.
