Biography

Ewing Elise Brownrigg was born on April 1, 1859 in Austin, Travis, Texas, United States.

In 1860, Ewing (1) was living in City of Austin, Travis with R T Brownrigg (28), M O Brownrigg (20), and B B Brownrigg (3). [1]

In 1870, Ewing (11) was living in Harrison with B F Eads (38), Octavia Eads (30), Bettie Eads (14), Lucy Eads (3), Frank C Eads (1), Lyddia E Weir (38), Susan (17), and Burina Hoye (15). [2]

In 1880, Ewing (21)'s occupation was 'at home'. She was living in household of B. F. Eads (46) in Marshall, Harrison with her parents, B. F. Eads (46) and Mary C. Eads (40); her siblings, Lucy Eads (12), Frank C. Eads (10), and Elizabeth B. Pope (22); and Alexander Pope (26), Isam Ector (30), Louisa Woods (36), and Jane Harol (15). [3]

Ewing (24) married James Raguet Irion (29) (born on January 22, 1855 in Nacogdoches, Texas; son of Dr Robert Anderson Irion and Anna W (Raguet) Irion) on March 12, 1884 in Harrison.[4]

In 1900, Ewing (41) was living in household of James R Irion (45) in Justice Precinct 2, Rusk with her husband, James R (45); their children, Annie B (13), Brownrigg (10), and James (9); and Bettie Pope (35), Alexander Pope (17), and James Burns (18). [5]

In 1910, Ewing (51) was living in household of James R Irion (55) in Dallas Ward 6, Dallas with her husband, James R (55); their children, Annie B (32), Richard B (20), James R Irion, Jr, Jr (18), and Mortimer T (5); and John L Craig (29), Dorothy Craig (22), Robert Motley (24), Robert M Rankin (25), Ella McKinsey (25), and Sadie Anderson (20). [6]

In 1920, Ewing (61) was living in household of J R Irion (64) in Dallas, Dallas with her husband, J R (64); and their son, Richard B (30). [7]

In 1930, Ewing (71) was living in household of James K Irion (75) in Dallas, Dallas with her husband, James K (75); and their son, Mortimer (25). [8]

Ewing died on September 2, 1949 in Dallas, aged 90. She is commemorated at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.[9] [10]
