Biography

Nicholas Bruce is a member of House of Bruce.

Nicholas was the daughter of George Bruce and Euphame Primrose.^[1]

She married firstly, Sir John Morison of Dairsie.

She married secondly, John Dick of Braid before 1631. They had issue:

1. William, b. 8 Aug 1631, c. 10 Aug 1631^[2][3]
2. Bessie, b. 8 Aug 1632,, c. 14 Aug 1632^[4][5]
3. Alexander, b. 1 Jan 1635, c. 9 Jan 1635^[6][7]
4. Nicolas (daughter), b. 11 Nov 1636, c. 20 Nov 1636^[8][9]
5. Andrew, b 12 Dec 1637, c. 12 Dec 1637^[10][11]

Nicholas was buried 27 Jan 1671.

Research Notes

The birth of Nicholas is not given but the birth of her son William was 8 Aug 1631 placing her second marriage before Nov 1630 and allowing that her first marriage was at least a year before one would place her birth prior to Nov 1617. Her first husband, however, died on 6 Jul 1625 placing the birth of Nicholas prior to 6 Jul 1613.
