Robina was born to William Bruce (1839-1899) a silk weaver and Margaret (Brown) Bruce (1841-1924) on 7 Nov 1884 in the village of Stonehouse,Lanarkshire, Scotland.[1]
As a young girl of 6 she was living at 20 Townhead Street, Stonehouse,Lanarkshire, Scotland with her parents William Bruce (1839-1899) and Margaret (Brown) Bruce (1841-1924) along with her 7 siblings, 5 were silk weavers, Mary Bruce (1862-1914),Jane Bruce (1870-),William Bruce (1872-),Johan Bruce (1875-) and Janet Bruce (1877-), her other 2 siblings were still at school, Agnes Bruce (1879-) and Isabella Bruce (1882-abt.1951).[2]
When she was 23 in 1907 as a silk weaver, she married John Rae in parish of Stonehouse,Lanarkshire.[3] they went on to have 7 children.
Robina passed away in1939 at the age of 52 in Townhead, an area of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.[4]
