Coralie Alice Maud Bruxner was born 11 Mar 1869 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England[1]. She was baptized on 8 Apr 1869 in the Church of England parish church in Cheltenham. Her parents were Edward Arkwright Bruxner and Alice Maud Bruxner née Lindoe, who were residing at 5 Rodney Place. Her father was a barrister-at-law[2]
Carolie aged 26 years married Eduard August von Hagen (born 1 Nov 1868) on 19 Dec 1895 in the Evangelische Kirche, Garnisongemeinde Berlin[1]. Her mother may have been present at the wedding, she was to die in Kensington the following year. Her father, had been in psychiatric hospitals since 1888 and is unlikely to have attended the wedding and may have been oblivious to it.
They had several children whose birth or baptisms are recorded in the Lutheran church registers, possibly in Berlin, Magdeburg and Bremen. Her son Philip George Reinhold Paul Heinrich Curt von Hagen was re-admitted to England on 23 Dec 1922[3]
Coralie, otherwise Maud, widowed and residing in Schönheide Kreis Spremberg Germany died on 1 Feb 1940 during WW2 at the Municipal Hospital Spremberg[4]
