William (age 26) married Martha Lyman Cox (age 27) (born on May 17, 1860, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter of James Cox and Mary Fullerton (Hazard) Cox); on August 1, 1887, in Orange New Jersey. Their children were:

- Alice de Vermandois Bryant (1892–1928)
