Lee "Tuff" Bunting, 80, of Risco, Mo., died Monday, March 12, 2007, at his residence. Born Aug. 3, 1926, in Kennett, son of the late Alva John and Gertie E. Crawford Bunting, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a farmer, horse trainer and was of the Baptist faith. On Nov. 8, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., he married Marjorie E. Williams, who survives of the home. Survivors also include two sons, Rick and John bunting, both of Risco; one daughter, Marilyn Smelser, of Risco; three brothers, General Al Bunting, of Burlingame, Kan., Bill Jackson, of Larned Kan., and Paul Jackson, Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Lois Crawford, of Batesville, Ark., Beverly Stracener, of Kennett and Arlene Adams, of Shelly, Idaho; eight grandchildren, Cameron Parker, of Campbell, Mo., Sean and Jarod Bunting, both of Vinton, La., Aaron and Casey Bunting, both of Kennett, Cynthia Campbell and Emily Milam, both of Jonesboro, Ark., and Tori Bunting, of Malden, Mo. and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Jackson and one sister, Lottie Yarbro.
