Magdalena Buoniconti is born 16 December 1902 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of Nicholas Buoniconti and Rosa Grimaldi.[1]

In the 1910 federal census, taken 28 April, Nicholas Buoniconti and his wife Rose, both 29 (b. 1881) and born in Italy, live on Rowley Street in Agawam, MA, with their children Madeline, 8, Mary, 6, Fonce (a girl), 5, Ruki (a son), 2, and Nicholas, five months, all born in MA. Nicholas immigrated in 1897 and is naturalized. His wife came in 1898. Nicholas is a farmer who has a truck farm.[2]
In the 1920 federal census of Agawam, taken 6 January, Nicola Buoniconti heads a household on Rowley St. Nicola is 40, immigrated in 1894 and is a naturalized citizen. His wife, Rose, 37, came in 1896 and is also naturalized. Their children at home are Madeline, 17 (b. 1902), Mary, 16 (b. 1903), Frances, 13, Rocce, 12, Nicola, 10, Tony, 8 , Thomas, 7, Rose, 4 and 11 months, Ida, 3 and two months, and Frank, 1 year. The children were all born in Massachusetts. Nicola Sr. is a general farmer. Madeline and Mary both work in tobacco, Madeline as a farm laborer and Mary as a laborer.[3]
Madeline marries Dominic Rescigno[4], the son of Luigi Rescigno and Francesca Cardaropoli[5][6], around 1921, based on self report in the 1930 census.
Dominic and Madeline have five children: Gloria (c. 1927), Rose Ann (1928), Joseph (c. 1932), John (c. 1934), and Frank.
The birth years of Gloria and her brothers are based on their reported ages in census records.
Rose Ann is born 15 April 1928 in Springfield, MA.[7]
In the 1930 federal census, taken 16 April, Domenick Rescigno, 32 (b. 1898), born in Italy, heads a household at 14 Banks Place, Springfield, MA, with his wife, Madeline, 27 (b. 1903), and children Gloria, 3 (b. 1927), and Rose, 2 (b. 1928), all born in MA. Domenick rents their home for $18/mo. He and Madeline married when he was 23 and she was 18 (m. 1921). Domenick immigrated in 1899 and is still an alien resident. He is a box maker in a factory.[8]
Dominic is shot and seriously wounded in the same shooting that takes the life of bootlegger Michael Fiore. Dominic Rascigno, 32 (b. 1901-02), of 18 Banks Pl, is called Fiore's "companion" and described as "probably fatally wounded."[9]
In the 1940 federal census, taken 11 April, Dominic Rescigna, 42 (b. 1898), a naturalized citizen born in Italy, heads a household at 43 Union St, Springfield, MA with his wife Madeline, 38 (b. 1902), and children Gloria, 13 (b. 1927), Rosa, 12 (b. 1928), Joseph, 8 (b. 1932), and John, 6 (b. 1934), all born in MA. Dominic is a shoveler with a construction company.[10]
Madeline's father dies in October 1940.
In 1945, Dominic and Madeline move to Agawam.[6]
Rose Ann marries Francis T. Kenney on 25 August 1951 in Agawam. Rose and Francis move to Oak Ridge, TN in 1959.[7]
On 29 October 1976, Madeline dies in her home at 34 Rowley St, Agawam, at age 73. She is buried in St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield[11] in the same plot with her brother, Frank, who died in 1962.
Dominick dies on 7 December 1984 at age 87 in his home at 34 Rowley Street in Agawam.[6][4]
At the time of his death, Dominic's sons, Joseph and Frank, and daughter, Gloria Pickett, live in Agawam. Rose Kenny lives in Oak Ridge, TN.[6]
Dominic Rescigno is buried in St. Michaels Cemetery with his wife, Madeline R. Buoniconti (1902-1976), and with his brother-in-law, Frank A. Buoniconti (1918-1962) and his wife, Esther E. Pickett (1918-1997).[12]
John dies in 1995. He is married to Sandra.[7]
Rose Ann dies at age 69 on 25 June 1997 in Oak Ridge, TN. Her husband survives her.[7]
At the time of Rose's death, Gloria is married to Robert Pickett of Agawam, Joseph is married to Patricia, also of Agawam, and Frank of Belfast ME is married to Jo Ann.[7]
