Isaac Burnet was born in 1784. He was the son of William Burnett and Gertrude (Gouverneur) Burnet. He moved to Cincinnati, where he worked as a lawyer, served as editor of the newspaper, the Liberty Hall, and was chosen as Mayor from 1819 until 1831. He married Keturah Wynne Moss (Gordon) Burnet. He passed away in 1856.
