Edwin "Vic" Burris, 74, Oakley, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at his home. He was born May 18, 1993, in Gove County to William Harvey and Pearl Dwinnell Burris.
He married Helen Schoenberger on June 24, 1962.
He was a water-well digger. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Edwin "Butch" Burris, Oakley; two daughters, Victoria Rebarchek, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Julie Britschge, Topeka; two brothers, Les Burris, Rolla, Mo., and Henry Burris, Hoxie; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oakley Christian Church; inurnment in Grainfield Cemetery, with military honors by Wheatland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2864, Grinnell. Friends can call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
