Virgie was born in 1915. She was the daughter of David Burroughs and Etta Lindsey. She passed away in 2002.
TUSCALOOSA | Virgie Camp, age 87, died December 21, 2002, at her residence. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from Memory Chapel. Rev. Bill Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation is tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. She is preceded in death by her father, Manzy Burroughs, mother, Etta Lindey Burroughs, sisters, Myrtle Lee Sanders, Hattie Dean Boothe, and brother, Oscar Burroughs. Survivors include spouse, Hubert W. Camp, daughters, Ollie Guy (Wayne), Helen Hodo (Toba), Jean Robertson, Ruth Massey, Ann Hodo (Arnold), Linda Massey, Patricia Patton, Cindy Hicks, sons, Walter J. Camp (Georgia), Jimmy Camp (Jimmie Nell), Joe Camp (Karen), sister, Mary B. Hall, brother, Gesner Burroughs, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. George Miller, Dr. David Hinton, Hospice of West Alabama, and son-in-laws. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
