Mary Burrows was born on February 5, 1789 in Groton, Connecticut, United States, daughter of Daniel Burrows (1766–1858) and Mary Avery (~1769–1851).
Mary married David Tarbox (born on February 19, 1787 in Hebron, Windham, Connecticut Colony; son of David Tarbox and Abigail Mack). Their son was Silas Burrows Tarbox (1816– ).
In 1850, Mary (61) was living in Honesdale, Wayne with her husband, David (63); her sister, Elizabeth (35); and Ellen Fle?nly (26). [1]

Mary died about May 22, 1888 in Hancock, aged about 99. She was buried in Old Village Community Cemetery, Hancock, Delaware County, New York.[3]
