Biography
Abraham was born 1751 at Port Chester ("Sawpits") New York. He married on 26 Nov 1780 Mary ("Polly") Lyon, daughter of Andrew and Sarah (Budd) Lyon. On his death, Mary married 2nd Newberry Davenport.
Their children were:
- Sally
- Rebecca
- William b. 17 Jun 1781, m. Eliza Davenport.
Abraham Bush died in a violent hurricane off the coast of North Carolina on 26 Sep 1785, along with his crew of four hands. His body, the ship, and his crew were never recovered.
There is a memorial stone at Greenwood Cemetery, although his body was never recovered.
