- Mrs. Van Nest, 93 dies at Princeton
- Mrs. Caroline Butler VanNest, 93, former prominent city resident, passed away May 10 in Princeton, N.J. She was the widow of John S. VanNest.
- A daughter of the late Edmund Griffin and Clara Cox Butler, Mrs. VanNest was born in Wilkes-Barre. She was a direct decedent of Col. Zebulon Butler, who came to Wyoming Valley in the middle of the 18th century. Mrs. VanNest took up residence in Jew Jersey following her marriage.
- Surviving are two nieces....three nephews...
- Funeral services were held yesterday in Princeton Trinity Presbyterian Church and interment was in the parish cemetery.
