Biography
John Martin Butterfield was born 3 March 1819 in Clark, Ontario, Canada, the son of Abraham Butterfield and Elizabeth White.[1]
He married Margaret Gifford 24 August 1842 in Newcastle, Durham, Canada,[2] and they were the parents of eight children: Elizabeth, Abram, Miranda, Carlton, Wilson, Myra, Millard and Agnes.
