On 24 July 1860, Samuel lived with his father and siblings George, Mary, and Evaline in District 2 of Owen County, Kentucky. He was working as a laborer.[1]
On 14 February 1868, Mary received Lot No. 6, totaling 45 acres, from her father's estate in Owen County.[2]
On 21 August 1871, Mary purchased 45 1/4 acres of land on Elk Creek in Owen County from her brother and sister-in-law, George and Sarah Caldwell.[3]
On 15 June 1900, Mary lived with her brother Samuel and his family in Kinman, Harrison County, Kentucky.[4]
