Note: her obit: Florence Avampato, 82, of Greensburg, went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at her home. She was born March 9, 1931, in Villarosa, Italy, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Antonina (LeVecchi) Cammarata. Prior to her retirement, she had been a seamstress at various department stores in the Greensburg area. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg, the Eastwood Garden Club and the Legion of Mary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Louis Cammarata. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph C. Avampato; a son, Tim Avampato and his wife, Sandra, of Export; three daughters, Linda Carr and her husband, Tom, of Greensburg, Diane Roberts and her husband, Rich, of Greensburg, and Laura Sims and her husband, Mike, of Northfield Center, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Dan, Justin, Juliana, Derek and Briana Carr, Megan, Natalie and Ashley Roberts, Austin and Bryce Avampato and Steven and Michelle Sims; a sister-in-law, Virginia Cammarata, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green Sts., Greensburg. Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of Grace Church.
