Margaret Canny was born on 23 March 1865 in the Townland of Gowerhass, County Clare, Ireland. She is the daughter of Michael Canny and Margaret O'Neil^[1].

Margaret Canny was baptised on 25 March 1865 and this was recorded in the Parish Registers of St Senan's Roman Catholic Church Kilrush^[2].

Research Notes

It is assumed Margaret Canny died before her sister, also named Margaret, was born on 14 November 1870.
