Greene was the son of Jonathan andMargaret (Green/Greene) Capron
He married Rebecca Bailey, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Haven) Bailey, on 31 Dec 1780 at Cumberland, Providence, Rhode Island, USA - their children were Thomas Bailey, Ann, Wanton Weeden, G ideon, Margaret, Caleb Bailey, Amy, Jonathan, Royal and Bowen Capron (all of the children were born at East Greenwich, Kent, RI)
