Temperance Carew (married Thomas Gray of Merton then Sir Christopher Heydon)[16][17][18]
Elizabeth Carew (married George Dacres of Cheshunt)[6][19][20]

The will of Mary Denny, wife of Sir John Gates, dated 28 Jan 1581/1582, referred to her nephews John Carew, Henry Carew, Wymond Carew, Roger Carew, and her nieces Prudence Bridges and Katherine Mompesson. A co-Executor of the will was her nephew Sir Mathew Carew.[9]
His widow was living in 1559[24] and 1568[25], and appears to have died about 1573.[2]
Research Notes
Denny pedigree in the Visitation of Norfolk: 'Martha Denny daughter of Edmund and Mary, married John Cary, buried at Hackney, 13 Henry 7'.[26] There are clearly errors here.
