Biography

Obituary: [1] Dr. William R Carr, 75, prominent Pacific Coast veterinarian died at 6 pm yesterday at his home 836 S Kingsley Dr.

Dr Carr, at the rebirth of racing in Southern California several years ago was selected as the official veterinary representative at the local tracks.

His death was caused by a heart ailment, it was said.

Dr. Carr, born in Westfield, Ontario, Can. had been a practicing veterinary surgeon here since 1910. He was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Los Angeles.

Final tributes will be paid at 11 am Monday, at Edwards Bros Colonial Mortuary with Interment In-the family plot at Inglewood- Memorial Park. He is survived by his widow Mrs Emma E Carr, three daughters: Mrs L J Cook, Mrs Jack Spottiswood, and Mrs A. J. Lafave, and a son Howard S.
