Eliza Carson was born about 1829 at Craigs, County Antrim, Ireland. She was the daughter of Andrew and Mary Carson[1].
In the 1851 Ireland census, Eliza was age 21 living at Craigs, County Antrim with her father Andrew Carson (50), mother Mary Carson (45), sisters Margaret Carson (25), Ellen Carson (18), brother David Carson (14), also servant Jane Cubet (8)[1].
Eliza married William Kernohan on 8 Mar 1854 at 1st Ahoghill Presbyterian Church, Co. Antrim. She was listed as full age, from Craigs, daughter of Andrew Carson farmer[2][3]. Eliza's sister Margaret married William's brother John in 1852. It is not known if William and Eliza had any children.
William and Eliza emigrated from Ireland to Scotland in the 1870s and lived in the Dennistoun district of Glasgow. In the 1881 Scotland census, Eliza was age 45? living at 187 Garngad Road, Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland with her husband William Kernohan (50) and two boarders[4].
In the 1891 Scotland census, Eliza was age 55? living at Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland with her husband William Kernohan (60)[5].
In the 1901 Scotland census, Eliza was age 75? living at Dennistoun, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland with her husband William Kernohan (85?)[6].
Eliza's husband William died in 1905. No record of Eliza's death has been found.
