Biography
Thomas was baptised on 6 Oct 1611 at Bedford St Paul, Bedfordshire. No parents were named.[1] (The year was 1611, not 1613 as originally shown in the profile and in many Ancestry trees).
He was buried in 1669 at Bedford, Bedfordshire. [2]
Research Notes
His alleged son Robert was supposedly born in America, yet both parents were buried in Bedford. Three possibilities: they weren't his parents; they emigrated and left Robert there and returned to England; Robert was born in England and emigrated alone
Thomas Carter (bef.1611-abt.1669) and his wife Elizabeth spent their lives in England. Their are no sources for them having a son named Robert, net alone one born in America. Robert Carter (abt.1648-) has therefore been detached as their son. He can be reattached if primary sources are found.Hardman-1532 11:13, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
