Biography

Maj George William Carter street dedication in Apopka, Florida

George was born in 4 Dec 1933.

Major Carter was a member of Advisory Team 22, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. On April 24, 1972, he was at Tanh Canh Base Camp near Dak To, Kontum Province when the camp was overrun by the Viet Cong. He was extracted by a helicopter that was shot down and burned. His remains were not recovered.
