Biography
Henry was born in about 1818. He is understood the be the son of a James Carter and Lucy Jane (whose surname at birth is unknown) whom he is living next to in 1850. Henry married Axie Diggs. In 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. [1]
