Biography
Mary was born March 7, 1824 in Madras, India. She was the only daughter of Rev. Robert Carter and Mary Anderson.
She married George Uglow Pope on January 1, 1842 and the record entry reads:
- "At Cuddalore, George Uglow Pope, of the S.P.G.F.P., to Mary Anderson, only daughter of the Rev. R. Carver, of Porto Novo." (She was 18 and he was 22).[1]
Mary died April 21, 1845 in Madras, India.
