Biography

Levi was born in Rowan County, North Carolina about 1821. He was the son of Robert Greene Morgan (Sr) and Polly Rose.

• Levi Caster was born abt 1821 - prior to his mother Pollly's marriage.

• Levi's mother, Polly Rose married John Caster on the 8th of April 1824 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Subsequently, Levi took on the surname of his step-father - Caster.

• Levis' step-father, John Caster died about the first part of 1829. As part of the Probate of John's estate, George Eagle (Agle) was appointed as Guardian of Levi Caster on the 17th of August 1829 and a Guardian Bond was issued for two hundred dollars . Jacob Smith and Nathan Morgan were also signers of the Guardianship.
