Giuseppe Castro is born and baptized Josephum on 9 September 1861. He is the son of Antonino Castro and Liboria Catanzaro. His godparents are Paulus Genualdo and Marianna Sparacio, who are not married.

Giuseppe dies on 9 October 1861 at one month of age. He has a brother with the same name, born the following year.
