  • Halychany (Ukrainian: Галича́ни) is a village in Lviv Raion, Lviv Oblast in western Ukraine.[1] It belongs to Horodok urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. In 1788, in the course of the Josephine colonization, German colonists of Catholic and Lutheran denominations were settled on the grounds of the village of Drozdovychi.[5] The colony was named Burgthal and became an independent municipality. [1]
