  • The year 1913 is assumed to be the date of establishment of the Jewish cemetery in Sopot [1] . The oldest information in a cartographic source about a necropolis located at the current street. Jacek Malczewski dates back to 1922. In its vicinity there is a Catholic and Evangelical cemetery (currently municipal) . The necropolis covers an area of ​​0.5 ha [2] . The cemetery was open until 1939, and the necropolis was formally closed only in 1948. Starting from World War II , in the following decades, the necropolis was progressively devastated. In 1983, the cemetery was entered into the register of monuments.[1]
