This location (sub-) category is for that small area of historic Dackmar which is currently in Warendorf city.
The farmstead community of Dackmar, Northwest of central Warendorf, was part of "Alt-Warendorf" from the 16th century until after the Napoleonic period. When Alt-Warendorf was dissolved in Februar 1844, Dackmar was one of the successor towns ("Gemeinde"). Dackmar remained independent until 1969, when most of its territory (about 17 sq km) became an urban district (Ortsteil) of the neighboring town Sassenberg.
