Biography

Roxana was born in 1811 to Roswell and Talitha (Foote) Chamberlain/Chamberlin; she wed Samuel Ralph Jones in 1831 (the date recorded by her uncle-in-law) or 32 (shown in the Barbour Collection of Connecticut Vital Records). She passed away in 1895.

Research notes: both parents have entries on FindAGrave under the gravestone spelling, Chamberlin, which also appears in the marriage record; however, Rep. Samuel Jones's "Family Record" shows Chamberlain, also shown in the record of a sister, and therefore used in this profile in the absence of a birth record.
