Biography

Samuel was born about 1892. He was the son of Joseph Chapman and Victoria Cooper.[1] He married Gladys L. Ettinger in 1919.[2] They had two children:

  1. David Merrell[3]
  2. Norris Ettinger[4][5][6]

Samuel was widowed in 1951. He remarried in 1953 to Jessie (Cohn) Cowen.[7]

Samuel died in 1955.[8] He was buried at Jewish Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.[7]
