Mathilda Charet/ Charette, fille de Alex Charette et de Joséphine Ouellette est née à Val d'Amour entre 1907 et 1910, selon les informations données à son mariage et l'inscription sur sa pierre tombale, mais plutôt en 1908 selon les déclarations au recensement de 1921.
En 1921, sa famille est recensée à Balmoral, NB, et se compose ainsi: "Alex CHARETTE, 45 ans - Joséphine, épouse, 40 ans -- Enfants: Thomas, -22 Rosa, 21 - Anna, 18 - Alex, 14 - Mathilda, étudiante, 12 ans - Livey (sic), 10 - Léonie, 9 - Andrew, 5" [2] Elle aurait donc eu 12 ans en 1920...
À 21 ans, à Val d'Amour, NB, le 4 août 1931, elle épouse Joseph Azarie Aubé, 24 ans, natif de Petit-Rocher, fils de Calixte Aubé et Catherine Boudreau. Témoins: Alex Charette et Henri Aubé. [3]
Sur sa pierre tombale, elle est dite née en 1907. Elle est décédée le 5 juillet 1992 et est inhumée au cimetière catholique Saint John Evangelist de Belledune. [4] [5]
