Charles Chasteen was born in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Charles Edward Chasteen was born on 27 Jan 1930 in Madison County, Kentucky, United States, son of Charles & Obie Chasteen. Charles is seen with his parents and siblings in the 1920 US census record.[1] Charles was married prior to his marriage to Edna Mae (Powers) Brooks on 10 Apr 1987, but details are unknown.[2] Charles and Edna were divorced prior to his death in 2000.[3] [4] Charles was buried in Woodhill Cemetery, Franklin, Warren, Ohio. [5]
