David was a son of George and Esther Cherry. He married Sarah M. Yerkes in 1858.

CHERRY. - Suddenly, at Atlantic City, on August 9, 1898, David Cherry. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services, on Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at his late residence, 1934 Franklin street. Interment private.^[2]
