Biography
Alexander Cheyne married:
1. Mary Elizabeth Thompson [1827- Jan 2th 1851] they had one child Alexander Thompson Cheyne [Jan. 1851- 12th March 1886] Marriage record list his father as Samuel Cheyne.
2. On 20/1/1865 he married Jane Mulholland (Mulhallens) Arnold in Belfast, Ireland. Her father was James Arnold. His father was listed as Samuel Cheyne.
They had ten children, {all born in Maghera, Magherafelt}, Isabella M. Cheyne [b.14/11/1865], Grace Cheyne [b.8/4/1867 - 1912], Mary Macklin Cheyne [4/4/1869-9/5/1869], Samuel 'Donald' Cheyne [9/9/1870-6/8/1930], Mary Mackline Cheyne [b.9/6/1872], James Arnold Cheyne [b 30/6/1874], Elizabeth Dripps Cheyne [b11/12/1876], Hugh Cheyne [29/11/1878-3/9/1929], Hans Arnold Cheyne [4/2/1881-1922], Charles Cheyne [b 13/2/1883]
He was a witness at his brother Thomas's wedding.
He died at Rugby Rd, Belfast.
