Biography

George Edward Chichester was born in 1848, in Danbury Connecticut, a son of George Alanson Chichester and Abigail Mary (Ambler) Chichester. George was a leaf-tobacco merchant, of Danbury.

On October 9 1872, in Dabury, George married Fanny Van Vallier de Klyn, who was born in 1854. George and Fanny are found on the United States Census of 1880, living in Danbury, with three of their four children. ^[1]

A biography of their son, Frederick William Chichester is contained in the History of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, Volume 2, page 36, where he founded the Chichester & Hudson firm, in Greensburg.

George married secondly, Ella S. Hull, who was born in 1861 and died in 1924, in Danbury. George died in 1926. ^[2]
