Clara was born to William Child and Eleanor Child nee about 1838.
Clara was baptised[1][2][3]on 4 November 1838 at St Clement Danes, Westminster, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom. At the time of the ceremony the family were residing in Centre Row, Covent Garden, Middlesex and her father William, is noted as a Fruiterer.
The April 1861 census[4]shows Clara lodging as a Nursemaid Servant in the household of the Vicar of Lamberhurst and his family at The Vicarage, Lamberhurst, Kent, England.
Clara married[5]John Stream, a Railway Servant, on 15 June 1862 at the Parish Church, Roath, Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom. At the time of the ceremony both were residing in Milton Street, Roath. Clara's father, William is noted as a Fruiterer and her father in law, Benjamin Stream worked as a Gardener. The marriage was registered[6]during the second quarter of 1862 in the district of Cardiff, Glamorgan.
