James (Chisholm) Chisholm Vth of Cromlix is a member of Clan Chisholm.

James was the son of James Chisholm.^[1]

He married firstly, Helen, daughter of William Stirling, brother of Stirling of Ardoch. ^[2] They had issue:

1. James^[3]
2. John^[3]
3. Jane, m. James Drummond^[3]

He married scondly, in 1612, Margaret, third daughter of William, 8th Earl of Glencairn.^[3][4] They had issue:

1. a daughter, m. the Earl of Lothian^[3]
2. Anna, m. John Rose of Breadley, 4th son of WIlliam Rose of Kilravock.^[3]
