Biography
Israel James Christie was born in Scotland in 1831 to David Christie and Elizabeth Reynolds. He married Charlotte Ann Cookson in Frontenac, Ontario (Canada West) in 1859. He married Annie (Fowler) Rothwell in Toronto, Ontario in 1895. Israel passed away in Ottawa, Ontario in 1905.

Judith Dutton
My grandmother, daughter of Israel James Christie, Lydia Christie, married Edward Dutton. (Not Dulton) She had children: Queen Elizabeth Dutton (Gardler), Earl Edward Dutton (my father) and Marjorie Dutton (Fischer).she developed a post influenza (1918) encephalitis, and was left permanently severely handicapped. In the general confusion following that she lost contact with her family. However the three children and their father remained close.
