Biography

Laurea was born in 1852 to Michele Ciaccio and Maria Lamanno ^[1]. In 1870 at age 17 she married 24-year-old Vincenzo Cusenza, a farmer ^[2].

Laurea was named for her maternal grandmother, Laurea Palmeri.
