Owen Clarkin migrated from Ireland to Prince Edward Island.

Owen was born in 1840. He is the son of Michael Clarkin and Ellen Connolly.

Research Notes

There were entries in the PEI Baptismal Index for Owen Clarkin and Elizabeth Campbell in the 1860s, and for Owen Clarkin and Margaret McCarron in the 1870s that overlap with Owen Clarkin and Martha A. Pollard in the 1870s.

There are at least two Owen Clarkins in Wikitree, Clarkin-146 and Clarkin-154. Different parents, but from the reference, both would seem to be the Owen who married Martha.

Obit for Robert James Cudmore Jr say he married Martha, daughter of Owen Clarkin and Martha Pollard.

The Owen who married Martha might be the same as the Owen who married Elizabeth Campbell.

The Owen married to Martha was in Lot 31 in 1881. ^[1] He said he was age 43, born Prince Edward Island. He was a Catholic and Martha a protestant. They had 3 children, 5, 3 and 1.

This Owen was a widower in 1891. He was age 50, born Ireland. The children were E. Jane, Henry Pope, Martha, Laura, James and Ewen.

Another Owen Clarkin was a schoolteacher in 1881, age 33. Possible he was the son of John and Mary? He was a widower. This could be the husband of Margaret McCarron with children Katie and Mary Ellen. This was Clarkin-78.
