Biography

John Clavering, rector of Gamlingay,^[1] Cambridge (d. 25 Jan 1612/3),^[2][3] was a younger son of:^[4]

• Robert Clavering of Callaly, Northumberland,^[1] (will 30 Nov 1582),^[4]
• and Anne Grey.^[1]

He's mentioned as a legatee in his father's will. At that time he was of Eton College.^[4][5] He became the rector of Gamlingay in c. 1590.^[2][6]
