Clyde E. Clawson was born on 24 Jun 1905 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Frank R. Clawson (1865–1933) and Ara Belle (Shank) Clawson (1869–1941).

Clyde died on 21 Feb 1975 in Commodore, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 69.[1] He was buried in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Clyde married Wahneta Leota (Knupp) Clawson (born on 4 Jun 1911 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania; daughter of Aubrey Clair Knupp and Tweet Virginia (Decker) Knupp). Their known children were:

Clyde E. (Boney) Clawson, 69, of Commodore, died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 21, 1975 at his home. A son of Frank and Belle Shank Clawson, he was born June 24, 1905 in Indiana. Mr. Clawson was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. He was also a member of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge 753 F & AM, Coudersport Consistory, UCT Council 598, and the Republican Men's Organization of Indiana County. He was associated with the Pennsylvania Department of Highways District 10-0, later with Interstate Amiesite, and most recently had been employed by Indiana County.
