Biography

Nicholas Clooney was born around 1828-1830 in Ireland, most likely Kilkenny. At least one source is very specific as to this being in Knockeen, Tullahought, Piltown, Kilkenny Ireland. His parents are currently unknown. He immigrated to America presumably around 1850-1855 and settled in Mason County, Kentucky. He met and married Bridget Byron in 1862 and they had at least seven children together. He died between 1880 and 1900.
