Biography
Joseph was born in Slaithwaite, 1775 & baptised Joseph Cock, 29 November 1775 Slaithwaite with East Scammonden, St James, Yorkshire, the son of Benjamin Cock of Slaithwaite. [1]
The marriage of Joseph Cock & Sarah Taylor was conducted on 2 June 1816, Almondbury, Yorkshire. [2]
Living in Bank Top, Golcar in 1841 with sons Joshua, Jeremiah & Jabez. He worked as a clothier. [3]
A widower living in Bank Top, Golcar, Yorkshire with son Jabez, in 1851 where they farmed 19 acres. [4]
He died on 9 August 1858 [5] [6] & buried 12 August 1858 Slaithwaite with East Scammonden, St James, Yorkshire, Yorkshire,. [7]
