Biography

Hunter Alexander was born in 1838 in Diocese of Dublin. He was the son of William Coghlan.[1][2]

When Hunter Alexander was about 26 he married Georgina Purcell Cotter on 24 May 1864 in Donoughmore, Cork, Ireland. [3][4][5][6].

Georgina, daughter of Alexander Hunter Coghlan & Georgina Parcell, was born on 14 April 1865 and baptised on 30 April 1865 in Madras, India.[7].

In 1871 Hunter Alexander (age about 33) was living at 18th Regiment.[8]

Gazetted (promotion): 3 May 1871. Royal Artillery, Staff Assistant-Surgeon Hunter Alexander Colan to be Assistant-Surgeon. Dated 3rd May, 1871.

In 1879 Hunter Alexander (age about 41) was living.[10]

Hunter Alexander died at the age of about 44 on 23 September 1882 in Rose Cottage, Ringaskiddy, Cork.[11]
